Tea Garden offers a true taste of Malaysia

According to the Tea Garden’s Facebook page, the restaurant’s team are “passionate and devoted to traditional Nan Yang food and beverages, not only in preserving the origin of these delicacies, and also persevere in promoting traditional Nan Yang dishes to the public, and passing down this unique heritage to future generations.”

The cuisine is traditional Malaysian, with familiar choices such as Laksa, Nasi Lemak, Mee Siam and Kaya toast. These can be found alongside delicious drinks such as such as Teh tarik and Kopi.

Tea Garden was first established in 2005 in Malaysia. Founder, Mr Tan Chek Kiang has more than 30 years of experience in the cuisine industry working at restaurants across Malaysia, Indonesia, and China.

The Market City location was established in 2016 and is the only Tea Garden Restaurant in Australia. As a family business, the owner chose the Market City location due to the opportunity to build a local customer base by offering a taste of home.

Open seven days a week, the Tea Garden is the perfect stop for a light snack or something more substantial. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner and their friendly welcome with have you coming back time and time again.
