Save the Date: Perth’s Newest Line is Coming!

The METRONET Thornlie-Cockburn Line is opening! For the first time, passengers can travel directly between the Mandurah and Armadale Lines. This means passengers will be able to travel directing to the new Ranford Road Station and take a quick walk to Perth Markets, Market City and the Canning Vale Weekend Markets!

To celebrate – Link Up, Line Up – a family-friendly, community event will be held on Sunday, 8 June from 8.30am – 1pm. There will be free food, live entertainment and community stalls showcasing local groups at Thornlie, Nicholson Road and Ranford Road stations.

The five new elevated stations on the inner Armadale Line – Carlisle, Oats Street, Queens Park, Cannington and Beckenham – will also be open for you to explore.

On the day, special event trains will be running, so it’s easy to get involved and check out the new stations and elevated rail. Plus, if you have a SmartRider, you can travel on the train for free on Sundays.
