Samy Medical Practice has recently opened in Market City, becoming the first and only bulk-billing doctor surgery in the shopping centre.
When the practice opened in January 2021, practice owner, Professor (Dr) Martin Samy, said he chose the location due to the potential to expand and offer specialist services, the easy access and parking available.
“At Samy Medical Practice, we do things differently. We are very community focused and believe healthcare should be affordable. We therefore offer bulk-billing to all our patients. I also have relationships with many specialists, such as endocrinologists, psychologists and cardiologists that enable my patients to access these specialist services with bulk-billing,” said Prof. Samy.
“This is something my daughter, Dr Christabel Samy and wife Matilda Samy are deeply passionate about. We believe that everyone should have access to quality, affordable healthcare.
Prof. Samy is also passionate about patient education and offers free seminars on topics such as heart health and weight control.
“Our location at Market City is perfect as we can hold public seminars in the foyer and also bring specialist services to other buildings around me. I would like to make this location a wellness hub and I am planning to open a birthing centre next door, as well as a mental health clinic and skin clinic.”
Samy Medical Practice is the newest tenant welcomed to Market City. It joins a diverse cluster of businesses, shops and eateries that make up the shopping centre.
