Workers are replacing significant portions of the existing perspex sheeting in the CTA. The existing sheeting was well past its useful life and presented as a safety hazard which needed removal and replacement. At present the work program is scheduled to finish on the CTA roof and Buyers Bays areas prior to the end of June 2022. The roof repairs will then move onto both East and West warehouses where they are replacing some guttering, Alsynite and replacing corroded hex head bolts. The work will continue through winter and should take some months to complete. The capital roof repair program has cost circa $1.7M to complete.
