We’ve hit some major milestones on our journey to a cleaner future here at Perth Markets, including:
- All 10,000 rooftop solar PV panels are now installed – ahead of schedule!
- Rooftop works are fully complete, including 2.1km of walkways.
- 7 of 11 PV inverters installed on warehouse SE2.
- PV distribution board installed for warehouse SE1.
What’s next?
- Electrical shutdowns to each substation to connect each PV system to the existing electrical network in May.
- AC cable installation.
- BESS system installation, and the testing and commissioning of PV and BESS Systems.
We are also in the preparation phase of updating the HV Switchroom, with the site set up and the demolition of the existing solar shed scheduled to begin later this month. The DA application has been officially lodged with the City of Canning, with building works set to begin once approval is received.
This $10 million project is a major step in our commitment to a more sustainable, energy-efficient WA. Covering 25,000m² of rooftop with a five-megawatt capacity, it will significantly reduce the #PerthMarkets site’s carbon footprint.
