Perth’s largest rooftop solar project is well and truly underway, achieving significant milestones since its commencement in October 2024:
- All rooftop works on the Perth Markets Central Trading Area PV System are complete, with only 5% of the PV Inverter Stations remaining.
- Rooftop works on the Warehouse SE1 PV System are finished, with just 10% of the PV Inverter Station to go.
- Half of the PV racking installation is complete on Warehouse SE2, along with 50% of the Warehouse SE1 PV Distribution Board.
- 1,100m of the total 2,100m rooftop walkway system is now in place.
- Rooftop works on Warehouse E7’s PV System are fully completed, with only 10% of the PV Inverter Station work left.
With these milestones achieved, the project remains on track for timely completion, bringing Perth Markets one step closer to a more sustainable future.
The $10 million project is expected cover a total of 25,000 square meters of rooftop, with an output capacity of five-megawatts, significantly reducing the Perth Markets site’s carbon footprint.
